Stephen Matchett, MD Chief Executive Officer Critical Care |
As Chief Executive Officer of Sound Critical Care, Dr. Stephen Matchett drives the development and growth of the critical care service line within Sound. Since becoming CEO in 2014, Dr. Matchett has led the group in expanding our footprint to include 40 programs in 16 states. Dr. Matchett completed his pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine and his internal medicine residency, as Chief Resident, at St. Luke’s Hospital in New York. Dr. Matchett obtained his medical degree at the University of Rochester. He is board-certified in critical care medicine and internal medicine and maintains an active membership in several critical care associations and committees.

Sergio Zanotti, MD, FCCM Chief Medical Officer Critical Care |
As Chief Medical Officer of Sound Critical Care, Dr. Sergio Zanotti oversees more than 250 critical care physicians and APPs within Sound. He is based in Houston at the Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center, where he practices clinically as part of the intensivist team. Dr. Zanotti has authored over 100 articles, book chapters, and abstracts. He has also been an invited speaker at the Society of Critical Care Medicine, regional conferences, and numerous international conferences.
